The Positive Peace Framework
Since 2008, The Institute for Economics & Peace has assembled a significant body of research on Positive Peace. Through this IEP has constructed the Pillars of Peace framework consisting of eight factors that, when present in a society, contribute to high levels of peace. They are statistically associated with social inclusion, better performance on environmental measures, societies with levels of resilience and adaptability, higher measures of wellbeing and stronger GDP growth.
IEP is dedicated to shifting the world’s focus to peace as a positive, achievable and tangible measure of human wellbeing and progress.
